En IndyCar, le Grand Prix de Toronto a livré son verdict la nuit dernière avec la victoire du Néo-Zélandais Scott Dixon. La dixième épreuve du championnat a moins souri à Simon Pagenaud, 7^e au final après une belle remontée. Le Montmorillonnais était 18^e à l'issue des qualifications. Au classement général, le pilote du Team Meyer-Shank Racing pointe à la 10^e place. Rendez-vous dimanche pour le Grand Prix d'Iowa.
